Coca Cola Ad. Marketing, and passive sentence practice.

Aim: students listen and watch an ad that contains lots of words for describing people. Suggested procedure: Students watch the ad and note down the words they understand. Students compare their list of words with other students and watch the ad again. You may want to project the text of the ad after the second viewing. Attention!: The  pace is prettty  fast. If your student's level is low you may want to run the text through the teleprompter  before watching the ad  (see below for teleprompter link).  Passive sentences. EXTENSION    For higher levels you can ask the students to describe how the adjective is represented on the ad. For example: The kissers are represented by (a folded cap), the tanned are represented by (a cap located at the top left, representing the sun), those who add are represented by (two bottles which contain each a part of a sentence ) ... Sample language:   fat,skinny, tall, short, near sighted, optimistic, pessimisti...

Aim: students of transport logistics match words and their definitions. Don't tell your students whether their definitions are correct. Then give them the matching task and give the students the opportunity to compare their guesses with the dictionary definition. Aim: students obtain a handout that: clarifies common errors with numbers: when to use hyphen, when to use "and", when to use "nought", "zero", "nil" etc.  provides examples of basic calculations including: addition,  multiplication, subtractions and powers. They have read the examples on the handout and then they have calculated shipping volumes aloud. Basically, students should just say aloud whatever calculations they perform at work.
